- Two laboratory rooms with over $300,000 in state-of-the-art technical equipment and furniture, comprised of the following, in part:
- Playback units for analog and digital audio/video formats
- Analog and digital audio/video recording devices
- Signal analysis devices
- Computer systems with appropriate software and input/output devices
- Digital and analog filters
- High-resolution video equipment
- NASA-developed VISAR video processing software
- Photographic and digital imaging devices
- Sound measurement equipment
- Sound spectrograph
- U.S. Government-approved safe file for storage of evidence.
- A library with over 300 reference books, collections of professional journals from the Audio Engineering Society, Acoustical Society of America, and International Association for Identification, class manuals from specialized courses and meetings, numerous peer-reviewed and scientific seminar articles, and related technical material.
- Meeting and conference rooms.
- Storage space for closed case files, rarely used technical equipment, and supplies.
- Electronic security for proper protection of the original evidence, copies, and worknotes.
